“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
Proverbs 19:20-21
Three Twenty Three was born in 2018 because I, Marie, have a passion for quality volleyball and I knew there had to be another option besides the traditional club style of training for girls who couldn’t commit to being gone on weekends. I wanted there to be a way to gain high quality training to improve volleyball skills in the off season. My first goal was finding a well known and respected coach who could develop a training program. Since my daughter had been taking private setting lessons from Allison Clark, and I had been observing the way she teaches, I knew she was my first choice of coaches to go after. Her expertise and experience in volleyball training both as a player and as a coach at a high level are highly sought after, so I considered it an honor that my daughter was learning from her. I thought and prayed about how to approach her for a few weeks before I finally sent her a text asking if she would ever be interested in sitting down to talk about putting together a group of girls to train in the off season. Her response was an immediate ‘yes’ and when we started talking about the possibilities of what we could create together, we both knew we were onto something special.
After many talks and prayers, we knew that we wanted 323 to be a place where athletes can get high quality training, spiritual development and guidance, as well as positive techniques and coping mechanisms to deal with difficulties during the game/practice, as well as life.
Our desire is to stretch the individual to play at her highest level of volleyball- without compromising relationships with the athletes/families. We want to come alongside parents and families to help grow and challenge your athlete, but protect family and devotion to church in this ever-changing, fast-paced world. This is why 323 does not compete in JO tournaments, nor will we practice on Wednesdays or Sundays. We teach scientific volleyball. What has been studied and proven to work- Allison has been trained by some of the best coaches in the state of Ohio, as well as the nation. She brings a ton of resources and knowledge into skill development, offensive/defensive systems, and how to best communicate these concepts to the athletes, as well as push them in a positive, but competitive environment. We strive for our athletes to grow and develop- to be able to walk into their high school gyms in the fall with confidence and the tools required for success- mentally, spiritually, and physically.
